How Do I Setup An Email Address In iPhone, iPod, or iPad?

Description: The steps below assume that you have a valid, active email account already setup with SolutionPro. While you are using your iPhone, iPod, or iPad perform the following steps:
NOTE: If this is the first email account you're setting up on your iPhone, tap Mail. Otherwise, from the Home screen, tap Settings.
- Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- Tap Add Account
- Tap Other
- Type your Name
- Type your Full Email Address
- Type your Description
- Type your full email address in the username field
- Type your Password
- Tap Next
- Tap POP
- Type mail.spro.net in the hostname field
- Type your full email address in the username field
- Type your Password
- Scroll down and enter the Outgoing Mail Server information
- Type mail.spro.net in the hostname field
- Type your full email address in the username field
- Type your Password
- Tap Save
- Tap Continue on the server identity message
NOTE: The connecting / verifying will take several minutes
- Tap Yes if prompted with an SSL message
- Tap the newly created account from the accounts list
- Scroll to the bottom of the settings page
- Tap Advanced
- Turn SSL OFF
- Tap Server Port
- Delete the current value and type 587
- Tap the Home Button
That’s It !
NOTE: If you are unable to send email after you have changed these settings it is possible that your internet service provider may be blocking your outbound email for security reasons. Providers such as Cableone, Verizon, and Clear have been known to do this. If this scenario applies to you, all outgoing email support questions will need to be directed to your ISP. SolutionPro does not have the ability to manage outbound email restrictions set in place by an internet service provider. |
