FAQ - POP Email Account Management

How Do I Change My Email Password?

Description: Follow the steps below if you want to change the password for a POP email account.

Changing The Password Via Webmail – Password Known

  1. Open Web Browser
  2. Type in the URL: webmail.spro.net or webmail.domainname.com
  3. Type in the Username (Full Email Address)
  4. Type in the Password
  5. Click Login

NOTE: Webmail Lite is the preferred view setting.

  1. Click Email Settings in the lower left column
  2. Find the Change Password section of the page
  3. Type the Current Password in the current password field
  4. Type the New Password in the new password field
  5. Re-Type the New Password in the new password field
  6. Click the Update Password Button

NOTE: The password update may take 5 minutes to complete. This process cannot be accelerated.

Changing The Password Via Postmaster – Password Not Known

NOTE: Contact SolutionPro support or your IT administrator if you are not a Postmaster administrator.

  1. Open Web Browser
  2. Type in the URL: webmail.spro.net or webmail.domainname.com
  3. Type in the Username ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it )
  4. Type in the Password
  5. Select Mail Settings from the view dropdown 

NOTE: The Mail Settings view is required view to edit email accounts at the admin/postmaster level.

  1. Click Login
  2. Click Manage Mailboxes in the lower left column
  3. Browse the list of mailboxes and find the account you want to edit
  4. Click the Edit Mailbox Button
  5. Type the New Password in the new password field
  6. Re-Type the New Password in the new password field
  7. Click the Edit Mailbox Button 

NOTE: The password update may take 5 minutes to complete. This process cannot be accelerated.
