FAQ - Hosted Exchange - New Accounts

How Do I Setup Android On Hosted Exchange?

Description: The steps below assume that you have a valid, active email account already setup with SolutionPro. While you are using your Droid perform the following steps.


Prerequisites: Any active hosted exchange mail account with SolutionPro

NOTE: Options vary based on the Android OS Version.

  1. Tap the Settings button
  2. Tap Accounts & Sync
  3. Tap Add Account
  4. Tap Exchange, Corporate Mail, Or Active Sync
  5. Type your Full Email Address
  6. Type your Password
  7. Tap Manual Setup
  8. Type the full Email Address in the Username field

    NOTE: If you have a domain field, please leave it blank. If you have difficulties logging in, try typing a back slash in front of your username.

    EXAMPLE: Username: \myusername

  9. Type ix.spro.net in the Server field
  10. Tap Use SSL, Or Secure Connection
  11. Tap Next
  12. Modify the account sync options as you would prefer
  13. Tap Next
  14. Type in an Account Name
  15. Tap Done
  16. Wait approximately 3 minutes for the account to fully synchronize all mail, calendars & contacts.
